But that is not exciting.
This, however, is:
One of these people was born last Tuesday. |
This is my nephew Senor Squishy Face. I named him that for obvious reasons.
This baby is a giant. |
Senor Squishy Face weighed in at 9 lbs., 8 oz., and he was two weeks early. I figure if he'd cooked any longer, he'd have been about 20 lbs.
Having a boy in the family is taking some getting used to; there are certain ways to diaper boys, apparently, that you don't have to worry about with girls. I did it wrong last Saturday, and SSF soaked through his onesie in a second. My sister Joon's already gotten her inaugural shower, if you know what I mean, and I think you do.
So here's just one of the many excuses I have for being blog-silent. I think it'll do.

I've always thought that when they're crying, all babies look like an outraged Winston Churchill. :)
Congratulations on the arrival of SSF!
I'd just like to point out that he was only ONE week early, not TWO. That means he probably would've only been 15 pounds, not 20. Thanks.
Thanks, Marsha! He's starting to come unsquished, but it's a slow process.
Shan, I thought it was two. Eh, you got the point.
