Student: [excited] Hey, guess what, Ms. Flower. I'm fixin' to get paid!
Ms. Flower: [sharply] WHAT DID YOU JUST SAY TO ME.
Student: [confused] I said I'm fixin' to get paid.
Ms. Flower: [flustered] Oh, you're getting paaaaaaaaid. I thought you said you were fixin' to--never mind.
