When I Was Little

One of the things the professor in my class is really good at is using picture books to show potential reading and writing strategies to use in our own classes. Last week, she read from the book When I Was Little: A Four-Year-Old's Memoir of Her Youth, by Jamie Lee Curtis. The little girl in the book talks about the things she used to do, like wear floaties in the pool.

The associated writing assignment was to make our own "When I was little" statements and drawings. Here's mine:

When I was little, I ate liver because my mom told me it was good for me.

Now, I can't even be in the same room when liver is cooking without wanting to vomit. I think it's best to avoid eating organs.
