My family actually watched this way back in the 80s. Here are some of the "highlights" I remember from it:

lizard aliens with people skins
aliens biting the heads off parakeets and gerbils
alien babies crawling out of their mothers' wombs
a robot guy with a detatchable arm; one of his replacements was a whip

I also remember being afraid to go to the bathroom alone after watching this show. But everyone else was watching, so I did too.
