I Do Not Understand Television People

I think that network executives think that if every person on television behaved in a reasonably intelligent and mature manner, television watchers would be so bored they would turn off the boob tube and read books.

This might then lead teenagers and adults alike to stop playing video games that feature sex and violence, and then people might stop watching MTV.

Next, there might be a world-wide increase in literacy, a drop in unexpected pregnancies, a rise in overall intelligence, a decreased crime rate, a higher number of stable family units, less drug use, more compassion, less bigotry, and more tolerance.

I said all that to say this: I hate Desperate Housewives.

I bet if people stopped watching it, we could achieve world peace.
