This is the scarf I finished today, thanks to the following:
Desperate Housewives
Grey's Anatomy
My Name is Earl
What Not to Wear
Everybody Hates Chris
The Office (again)
Here it is in its blocked glory, though as you can see, I am clearly incapable of doing anything in a straight line: walking ... drawing ... blocking.
It's about eight feet of stockinette stitch, which means it rolls up at the sides to make something that looks like a tube. Until someone calls me on it, I'm totally going with "I meant to do that."
It was really cold in the house yesterday, due to my self-imposed gas heating strike (sponsored by my outrageous gas bill), so I wrapped the scarf all around my neck and ears, looking like something out of a weird cartoon. But my head was warm.
Here's a close-up, so you can get a better look at the colors--and my uneven stitches, apparently.
I don't know what my deal is with variegated yarn, because I have a LOT of it, but I forget that until I look in my yarn basket and see that there is nothing there that has a uniform color throughout.
Perhaps I will rectify that situation on my trip to the yarn store tomorrow.
