Slow Clap

Roughly half the student body was in the middle of their Big Scary State Test when the fire alarm went off.

We filed outside, threatening our children with immediate physical harm if they spoke even half a syllable. They were really good, though, and I guess we must have "preserve[d] the integrity of the test," as one administrator put it, because they let the kids finish it. I'm sure next week we'll be told everyone has to retake it, but for now it looks like we're okay.

Oh, and that fire alarm? Some of our non-testers were in the weight room, unattended, and I guess they thought it would be fun to pull the little red lever. Then, instead of skulking out of the building and pretending not to know anything about it, they bragged to everyone within hearing distance.

Geniuses.
