I wore a purplish/egglplant shirt today, to celebrate my Irish heritage.* Okay, so purplish/eggplant isn't a traditionally Irish color, but I paired the shirt with my newest socks:**
Yarn: Lovesticks
Colorway: Drama Mama
Needles: US Size 2
Pattern: Toe-up over 60 stitches, which is my usual pattern. BUT! I did a different heel, the afterthought heel as described by Elizabeth Zimmerman in Knitting Without Tears.
Verdict: I love these socks! There is little-to-no pilling after being worn all day. They're super comfy and warm. Bonus: they're cute.
*full disclosure: I'm not Irish. Not even a little bit.
**Well, and pants, of course.
