Score!

That is what I thought when I hung up the phone with a local Holocaust survivor who is coming to speak to my reading classes next week. Then I thought that was a pretty irreverent way to think about someone who's been through something so horrible.

But when I told one of my classes today, one of my girls said, "Score!" so I excused my own self. Then I thought, should I have the same thoughts as fourteen-year-olds?

So now I don't know what to think.

when you start finding yourself using idioms that you personally hate with a passion... then you should be worried. Like, random. As in, "Wow, Ms Flower, that was so random." I hate the phrase== and yet, I find it creeping into my speech all the time.
