It Runs in the Family

Not too long ago, I was telling my dad about all the awesome stuff I'd been watching on my Tivo. Now y'all know, in general, my Tivo's Now Playing List looks like this:

[History Channel thing]
[History Channel thing]
The Office
CSI
[History Channel thing]
The Amazing Race
Bones
Veronica Mars
Lost
The Office
[History Channel thing]
[History Channel thing]
Grey's Anatomy
Prison Break
The Office
The Office
The Office
(seriously; I have almost the whole season)
[History Channel thing]

So I was excitedly telling my father about this show I'd seen about the secrets of the British Museum (all I need to know: THERE IS A HAUNTED MUMMY!!!) and he interrupted me to say, "Don't take this the wrong way, but you are a gigantic nerd."

Hmph.

So when I went to my parents' house last week, my dad gave me the television section of the USA Today, which listed the ten documentaries that the History Channel is playing this week as part of the 10 Days That Unexpectedly Changed America. Here it is, with his note:
